Too many critics need to stop taking themselves so fricking seriously ('oh, yawn, so uninvolving. Where's the pathos, the tragedy, the reason for living??") especially those who think its appropriate to insult filmgoers who enjoy a movie they do not for whatever reason.
Action, good special effects, good performers, a movie that doesn't drag. Works for me. I wish Universal good fortune with their new franchise.
