Review of The Mummy (1959) by Charles P — 08 May 2008
Although hokey by today's standards and cheap-looking, this strongly written and directed remake carries a wonderful sense of atmosphere, violence and horror. The reasonably tight script and the towering Christopher Lee are the best bits of this.
Good for its time.
