Review of The Mountie (2011) by Mark F — 12 May 2014
Well acted and beautifully shot, The Mountie makes the most of it's cast and the gorgeous scenery of the Yukon. It provides a much more realistic perspective on the challenging job that Mounties faced in trying to enforce the law in isolated outposts, hundreds of miles from the nearest town in the early days of Canada.
The film stands strongly against much more expensive films as a modern western. Well worth seeing.
