Review of The Mountain Between Us (2017) by Scottish M — 08 Oct 2017
It wasn't a bad movie. The first 20 minutes were exciting as heck! The 2nd act was interesting enough. There are a couple aspects where you'll need to suspend reality/belief in terms of how a real life survival story would play out (namely the fact that the dog had boundless energy as did the 2 main characters despite having less than a couple thousand calories combined for several weeks) 3rd act had a feel very similar to the 3rd act in the Tom Hanks' movie "Castaway".
The last part of the movie...essentially the final scene was poorly executed...very poorly executed. It's almost like the film makers didn't know how to end the movie. It's worth seeing, but it's far from perfect.
