Review of The Motorcycle Diaries (2004) by Gunter V — 04 Jan 2010
A must watch for fans of Ernesto "Che" Guevara. Some may say it glorifies him, but from what I've read, the movie is a accurate representation of his journey across the continent of South America that he took with his friend in 1952, just months before completing his course in Medicine. The journey is said to be responsible for him turning from doctor to revolutionary and the movie does show the change that he undergoes over the 7 months of his journey.
The acting is great, and the story remains interesting throughout the 2 hour runtime.
A definite must watch for people who wear the Che tees without knowing anything about the man on their chest!!
