If you can get over the lionization of a Communist guerrilla killer made out to be Jesus Christ (he's a blameless honest virgin, who walks on water and heals the leptons), and rather see this as a total work of fiction, it's a great movie totally worth watching - if for nothing else than the beautiful motorcycle tour around South America.
