Review of The Motorcycle Diaries (2004) by Vanessa M — 27 May 2011
Salles constructs a pseudo-liberal film with style and a fragrant aroma of talent and beauty. As a Latin American, if you ask me if this is the most appropriate portrayal of such revolutionary hero, I might differ. It's just a small chapter of a whole book on the character's life, and it is not precisely the most adequate chapter to be told. Still, Santaolalla takes Diarios de Motocicleta to a higher level and the cinematography is simply an invigorating joy to watch.
80/100.
