Review of The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones (2013) by Jessica P — 05 Jan 2014
It didn't entirely follow the book, just the surface story, and left out so many good parts, like the vampire motorcycle, and meeting the vampire leader and not realizing it. It also added things, like taking a part of the portal and being able to stick a hand through it, or the part about taking Jace's memories too? I was constantly saying that wasn't in the book, this was supposed to be in there, what the heck, where did that come from? I didn't even like who they picked as actor's, except for maybe SImon. By the way, he was supposed to turn into a mouse, then bite a vampire, get blood in his system, then eventually turn into a vampire.
Also? This book was written around the same time Twilight books came out, before the Twilight movie. So don't compare it to a Twilight knockoff.
