Review of The Morning After (1986) by Matt H — 29 Oct 2014
Weird characters, story. Jane Fonda feels miscast, as does Jeff Bridges. Bridges' character just seems off, who he is on the printed page doesn't seem to translate to the screen, or through Bridges' performance, which is odd because he's usually spot on.
Fonda's character is written just a little too unlikable; and also wasn't that interesting. Raul Julia steals every scene he's in, he's the only character in the movie that really clicks.
