Review of The Morning After (1986) by Anna B — 02 Mar 2014
Was kind of mildly interesting for a while in the beginning, with Lumet going for some weird Hitchcock-in-the-'80s thing, but then all of the vaguely intriguing noirish elements in the setup are completely squandered in the bizarrely slap-dash, abruptly anti-climactic revelation which pretty much disregards the entire plot up to that point and settles on "this character did it, don't ask why or how.
" Awful. And Sidney Lumet had terrible taste in music in the '80s.
