Review of The Monuments Men (2014) by Denver R — 02 Jun 2014
Wasting much of its time on trudging through its interesting premise, Clooney's "The Monuments Men" is a laborious, glacier-paced film. It's a bit sad to see a movie with such a great story and talented actors succumb to being a boring film.
Now that's not to say that it's without its charms. There are moments of sincere laughs and honest emotion here, and the characters are quite likable. Is it a bad film? Not at all. But it's far from, um, ehem, monumental.
