Review of The Monuments Men (2014) by Scotty L — 09 Jun 2014
This film has no sense of urgency. It does a great job of explaining the importance of art, and why it needs to be preserved, but the protectors get no credit, and the characters almost seem unnecessary.
The film has a Oceans 11 feel to it, only with more emotion. The film has a weird structure, but it doesn't fail in showing just how brutal Hitler's plans really were, even if it was in a subtle manner.
