Review of The Monuments Men (2014) by Lee D — 15 Jun 2014

I was drawn to see monuments men by two things. the story and the cast and both in my opinion delivered in a satisfying manner. This is one of those movies that is definitely not getting the positive attention it deserves.

the story itself is very unique and not something I was aware had occurred in our history which made me want to see the film. then when I saw the cast from Clooney on down to Bill Murray I was hooked.

after seeing the film I must say I was glad I did. the characters in this film have a great deal of chemistry to bring to the table and they add in the right amount of humor and charm to the movie without making it feel too lighthearted.

there are a few areas in the movie that seem a little rushed in terms of pacing but all in all the movie slows down and takes time where it needs to. I'd say if you enjoy any of these actors and a good war story then I'd recommend a watch for this one.
