A great cast that I expected more from. I beginning was a montage of gathering the team, but unlike Mr. Clooney formerly assembling his Ocean's crew no words were spoken. I didn't even know these characters before they were thrust into battle, so why should I care? I just felt like a little more set-up would have helped.
Blanchett and Damon's scenes together were probably the best part of the film. If you like WWII movies you might like this one. Otherwise, you'll be tempted to turn it off like I was.
