Review of The Monster (2016) by Bill R — 20 Dec 2016
Really great horror movie. Takes a while to get the ball rolling while it builds the relationship between mother and daughter, but I think that's important because it builds the dynamics between these two characters.
The star of this movie is the acting. Both main stars give great performances. The creature effects are really well done as well. This movie reminds me of a cross between Salvage, Sliver, and Cujo, and that's a good thing.
This isn't so much of a story as it really is just a situation these characters find themselves in. This could be a moment of anyone's life(well if monsters existed). The let down for me was the ending, which was okay, but like too many horror movie you back yourself into a corner and you have to end it somehow.
But I was disappointed for 2 mins of the 91 minutes and that's pretty good.
