Review of The Mist (2007) by Sean C — 11 Jan 2013
New Review: The first time I saw this movie, I enjoyed it and gave it an appropriately positive review but now, more than five years later, I keep revisiting "The Mist" as one of the most effective horror movies of the 21st century and one of the most well-made post-9/11 allegories you could hope to ask for.
Marcia Gay Harden makes my skin crawl every time and the movie has an additional dose of awesome in that it stars like half of the "Walking Dead" cast. The monsters are effectively Lovecraftian and the ending is one of the craziest I've ever seen.
This is like the gold standard for me when it comes to adaptations of King's horror works.
