Review of The Mist (2007) by Ramón M — 18 Apr 2012
A man (Thomas Jane) and his son (Nathan Gamble) are trapped in a grocery store when a mysterious fog descends on their town and begins killing everyone it envelops. This movie is based on a Stephen King story, so naturally there's a religious fanatic (Marcia Gay Harden) among the survivors in the supermarket.
The protagonists of the film are beset by otherwordly monsters on one side and a growing horde of fearful zealots on the other. The conflicts all collide to make The Mist a tense, spooky, and evocatively Lovecraftian horror flick.
