This is quite possibly my favorite movie of all time. It's dark, depressing and people have rightly observed that it is long, but when there is a theme of penance, what do you expect? Watch past the end of the credits and there's a lasting image that has stuck with me for nearly 20 years.
Man's inhumanity to man...you've seen it before...but this version will rip your heart out. Favorite quote: "Thus have we made the world... thus have I made it." Oh...and the MUSIC! Ennio Morricone at his best! Oh.
..and the CAST! Robert DeNiro, Jeremy Irons, Aiden Quinn, and a Liam Neeson.
