Review of The Mission (1986) by Alex L — 30 Jul 2012
The Mission is a beautiful film. The style in which it is made with its location, it's costume and it's cinematography is enough to enjoy the film as it is. Although at times until the climax not much happens, the themes it covers are clever and clear.
The Mission is so good the story is more or less covered by what is not said, and it's acted out well enough for many to understand. Clearly, The Mission is of an acquired taste, one of which I am very glad to be able to understand.
