Review of The Misfits (1961) by Brian K — 31 Aug 2008
Good movie, but I couldn't really get into the story at all. Not my thing. But the acting and directing is good enough to make this a solid movie. The fact that this was the last movie for not only Clark Gable, but Marilyn Monroe as well, sort of haunts the whole thing.
Monroe looks sad throughout most of the movie, yet she is excellent (this may be her best acting), and I found it impossible to take my eyes off her. Gable and Clift are great as well. A good movie, but not my favorite from any of the people involved.
