Review of The Mirror Has Two Faces (1996) by Rodolfo R — 19 Mar 2005
There are so many things wrong with this movie, it's tough to know where to begin. And I certainly don't care to spend the time and energy it would take to delineate its faults. So here are my recommendations:
Fans of the grotesque may enjoy watching Barbra Streisand and Pierce Brosnan make out.
Fans of camp may enjoy Barbra's sports-training montage.
Fans of Lauren Bacall may wish to watch the film on fast-forward and only watch scenes in which Miss Betty appears. I watched the second half of the film this way. There's nothing in the plot that you'll miss from ignoring the dialogue, and this way you can still be a Bacall completionist.
Fans of cinema may wish to ignore the movie's existence all together.
