Anne Bancroft and Patty Duke performed this play on Broadway for a few years BEFORE it was a motion picture---and unfortunately, it may be all too realistic in its presentation (of a little known &/r acknowledged reality), rather than being overacted .
..however, it is a fantastic representation of "the moment and the miracle" that is learning.
