Review of The Miracle Worker (1962) by Andrea F — 01 Apr 2009
I saw this when I was in seventh grade and in the throes of hatred for all things black and white. Nevertheless, I recently read the source material and recalled this with almost perfect clarity, meaning it must have stuck with me somehow.
This is one of the best literary adaptations out there; it brilliantly captures the emotional turmoil and lack of communication skills that this extremely dysfunctional family suffered from until Annie came along.
