The Midnight Meat Train, sporting one of the coolest names I've heard in a while, is a horror film from the mind of Clive Barker. I really do enjoy this guys imagination when it comes to his craft. Ryuhei Kitamura directs and displays quite a healthy pallette of gore shots, too.

I've read a few reviews and some considered this film a little too cheesy. Now I'm a big gore fan myself, cheesy or not, and I thoroughly enjoyed every shot and angle in this film. You need an open mind when viewing a film such as this, and if you do explore that part of your brain, you will see the world in much better color. But, sadly, most people like to stay sheltered and not go past that "Do Not Enter" sign. It's a real shame.

Here we're introduced to some pretty gory shots with generous amounts of red on the screen. Now this is what I love about films of this genre. With Clive Barker, that's what you're going to expect. Vinnie Jones has the look of a crazed killer. He's silent, careful and melodic on how he delivers his acting. He was the perfect choice for a film like this. When he surfaces, I can't help but tune in eagerly.

The Midnight Meat Train gives new meaning to how deep the rabbit hole goes and this film needs to be watched until it's final unpredictable scene. It will show how too much curiousity can lead you to an end that you will have no escape from.
