Review of The Midnight Meat Train (2008) by Ted W — 19 Sep 2010
"I didn't imagine you'd be the type to say "....whoa"".
What do you think of when I say the title The Midnight Meat Train? Maybe some sort of weird sci-fi? Perhaps a kinky 70s porno..
Midnight Meat Train is a movie directed by the guy who made the cult classic from Japan- Versus and a Godzilla movie a few years back. This one is American-made and in English, set in New York. A photographer defends a woman from a gang, soon to discover that this woman is missing. Following her on the train he confronts an infamous serial killer known as Mahogony.
Whoa is right. This movie seems straight-to-TV/DvD but it's actually better than you think it would be. It's a bit slow most of the time but it was surprising of it's decency. Acting is alright, special effects are ok.
