Review of The Meyerowitz Stories (New and Selected) (2017) by Arth J — 13 Jan 2018
It's called flirting when you're young..
The Meyerowitz Stories (New and Selected).
How many times have you encountered a story about a dysfunctional family? It seems like the hottest topic of the drama genre but only few of them gets it right and this time Noah Baumbach did with his witty lines and amusing ideas. Dustin Hoffman who is a misleading protagonist in a way, pitches his dialogue fast and perfectly almost as if he is having an argument, especially his first encounter with Ben Stiller in the movie (the hotel sequence). But the highlight of the movie is of course the chemistry between Ben Stiller and Adam Sandler which brings out the big guns in the movie then whether it be the sibling issues, the old joke routine or a similar interest in a woman. The Meyerowitz Stories is funny, notifies serious issues and a perfect family drama for your family.
