Review of The Messenger: The Story of Joan of Arc (1999) by Heidi K — 27 Feb 2008
Visionary, truly, Luc Besson knows how to present war and vindictiveness, madness. To me, especially the visions of Jeanne and the last hour of the movie are pure feast. Though the movie is long, I don't think it seems too long, it doesn't lose its tempo.
And Milla Jovovich - I think she plays the part of her life in this one, and captures the madness of Jean d'arc appealingly.
