Review of The Messenger (2009) by Ashley B — 31 Jul 2010
I personally enjoyed the film quite a lot. For me the acting and characters that Ben Foster and Woody Harrelson portray are expertly done. The story itself is simple but powerful and at the same time the unfortunate part of the movie.
The primary problem I had was that this movie couldn't go any where. There is no story until the romance is introduced. Then it becomes predictable and melodramatic. So although this film has good intentions and although this film has magnificent acting there was just no where to go and as a result the ending was lacking.
All in all I would recommend watching this sometime.
