'The Messenger' follows two officers assigned to the Army's Casualty Notification Service, a job that's one of the most uncomfortable and difficult to deal with emotionally! More than anything, its the raw performances by Ben Foster, Woody Harrelson and Samantha Morton that brighten up the otherwise slow movie.
