Review of The Messenger (2009) by Gavin S — 16 Nov 2011
Two very strong performances from Foster and Harrelson (I hope Woody wins an Oscar before too long). I watched this just after Remembrance Day, and I can't think of a better time to watch it. For such a simple plot, it's impressive how much they are able to put into their roles.
I think this movie should be the kind of thing everyone needs to see, when War is just something on the news that doesn't actually have any impact on them, let them be reminded what the cost really is.
