Review of The Messenger (2009) by Joshua T — 27 Feb 2012
This movie has some of the best acting I have seen in a long time. I have always thought that Woody Harrelson is underrated as an actor. But this performance should put him back into the spotlight. Ben Foster is a realitive unknown but shows that he is a force to reckon with.
This movie tells the story of a solider who has been reassigned to deliviering death notices to the Next of Kin of soliders. One of the main elements of this movie that I enjoy is that it does not have a political agenda, like most hollywood movies do. It is a movie that tells a great story and a great plot. Heartbreaking, devestating, and utterly fantastic.
