Review of The Menu (2022) by Mrc_Brn — 14 Dec 2022
Well made movie that kept me firmly interested throughout. Much more interesting than I thought it would be going in. Ralph Feinnes is particularly good as 'the Chef'. As I was walking out the cinema, another viewer rhetorically asked out loud 'what that was all about!?'.
I honestly couldn't tell you, but it has something to do with the meaning of life, the personal cost of perfectionism and corruption of capitalism. Sprinkles of humor throughout kept the fair lighter and stranger than it would have been without.
Definitely worth seeing.
