Review of The Menu (2022) by Liamexe — 21 Jan 2023
The entire film is a social critique of our culture, including our preoccupation with striving for unattainable perfection in our work. Every character in the film has their own faults, obsessions, and secrets that drive them to madness while maintaining their right appearance, especially in the resto.
All of them were unable to handle situations when they became personally uncomfortable since they felt so insulted. That exposed their genuine nature and attitude toward it. This film also demonstrates how a person's internal changes can occur when a specific status, symbol, or level of income is attained, leading to the abandonment of common sense in favour of following a career.
A big chef kiss is given to the story writing in the film.
