Honestly one of the worst film I’ve seen at the cinema. I thought the trailer was screaming movie I wouldn’t like but considering the critics, I thought I’d give it a go. From the first few minutes, it was clear that I wouldn’t.
The characters are stereotypical and without any depths; the acting is poor and annoyingly over the top; everything you could expect from the plot happens and overall, the storyline is just very… bad.
I believe there’s meant to be dark humour elements in it, but the cringe acting didn’t make that work and the suspens just doesn’t build up at all. The climax of the movie, which is very obvious from the beginning, is just another disappointment.
I believe it can be an enjoyable movie if you’re 12 but otherwise I found it to be bad mashup of other bad mainstreams concepts like escape room, the purge, etc. that adds nothing new to the mix.
