Can't agree with the critics on this one. This film satisfies your intrigue (in regard to a supposed psychic-military-maneuver-thingy) and doesn't overstay its welcome. Clooney's character is spot-on, and the overall "weirdness" of this movie in general was concurrent with his demeanor.
