Review of The Men Who Stare at Goats (2009) by George W — 04 Mar 2015
Well once again the major critics and I disagree. Its a quirky take on America's extension of policy by other means, funny and poignant by turns.
The cast are hamming it up and having a good laugh as well they might. The horrors of modern "War for Oil" have reached a point where individual or group protest does nothing to hold government in check. All thats left is to laugh at the futility, the absurdity of it all. its "Catch-22" for the Gulf War.
As for the lukewarm reception by the pro critics, well these are the same pretentious dough balls who think "The Hurt Locker" and "Syrianna" were great films.
