Review of The Meg (2018) by Talulagrey — 30 Oct 2018
It started out fine, then about 50ish minutes in it got a little stupid, and then even more stupid. The CGI for the most part was pretty good and only in a few places did it look fake. The story was silly and the acting was pretty bad all the way through.
Dear god Ruby Rose couldn't act her way out of a paper bag; and her hair, wtf was that all about? Production values were okay. I did think that the underwater lab looked pretty cool. The editing was lousy and overall I gave this film 4 out of ten.
I am glad I waited to see it during cheap night at the movies. It was mindless entertainment and was passable. You will have to shut off your critical thinking skills. I'd wait for the rental or I'd see it during a discount movie night.
