Review of The Meg (2018) by Shawn R — 16 Aug 2018

I watched the new Jurassic World and The Meg back to back. Between the two, I had more fun at The Meg. At least the shark movie could own up to being a monster flick, but at the same time get me to care about the characters.

The Jurassic movies have moved from the thrill of dinosaurs behaving like animals to predictable human killing monsters. I swear the new raptor thing smiles and winks to the camera before its first kill.

Surprisingly, The Meg had the more believable plot. I'd watch again.
