Review of The Meg (2018) by Lilith%20 H — 22 Aug 2018
This movie was fun, but pretty ridiculous. The cast was great, except for the diver guy who killed the megalladon in the end. He was ugly, and a real jerk. If they had replaced with someone else, or just cut him out, it would have been much better.
The other characters were quite likable, the cast was diverse and the acting was great. The effects and sets were of high quality and looked real, but there were some real scientific errors when it came to the megaladon its self.
For instance, sharks have the thickest skin of any animal, sometimes 6 inches thick. So when the @sshole diver guy kills the megaladon by slicing its skin with a knife, anyone who knows anything about sharks will laugh a bit.
It's not meantto be right though, it's just meant to be fun to watch, action packed and hilarious. I would call this movie a success, although I was disappointed that they killed the shark. I was hopeful about how they were going to handle it, being that they were scientists who discovered the most amazing creature that ever existed was still alive.
I also hoped the meg would kill more people, as revenge for the millions of sharks humans have killed. I still enjoyed watching it, and the music was great.
