Review of The Meg (2018) by Craig P — 12 Aug 2018
The movie is fast paced and its intense action scenes are top notch. That said, this is one of the most formulaic movies in modern times. The characters were right off the shelf, and the over-the-top machisimo of Jason Startham was almost unbearable, if not downright nauseating.
This is a check-your-brain-at-the-door movie. Plains and simple. .
