In a way, The Meg accomplishes exactly what it promises: big sharks and big action. Outside of that, it's pretty bland. There are some unintentionally hilarious scenes, but overall, it's not the worst movie ever, nor is it the best.
I think it will be remembered as being a summer shark movie.
