As an action star, Jason Stathan ticks all the boxes. He is fast, daring, cool etc.
As an actor, he is quite boring. All his recent films are almost identical. "The Mechanic" brings nothing new on the table. Little emotion, even less ingenuity, no novelty. If I had not seen every movie in the flight, I would not have picked this one.
One thing I absolutely love in the movie is the wooden house of the assassin. It is architecturally brilliant.
