2: A decent enough picture, but nothing to write home about. Cagney fits the part admirably, as does his child alter-ego, but it all seems a bit pre-planned and terribly obvious. In other words, it could be summarized in a sentence or less.
Alternatively, one could catch one minute chunks of it at random intervals and probably not miss all that much.
