Review of The Matrix Revolutions (2003) by Giovanni M — 15 Nov 2014
- "ATTACK OF THE SENTINELS".
- The final installment of the popular 'The Matrix' film franchise written and directed by the Wachowski Brothers (Cloud Atlas) is this 2003 'The Matrix Revolutions'. What happened to Neo? And will Zion fall under the threatening attack of the Sentinels? Find out in the epic conclusion, filled with amazing effects and memorable fight scènes. With returning cast members Keanu Reeves (Speed, Point Break), Carrie-Anne Moss (Memento, Disturbia), Laurence Fishburne (Predators, Assault on Precinct 13) and Hugo Weaving (the Lord of the Rings saga, Cloud Atlas), Jada Pinkett Smith (The Nutty Professor, Scream 2), Harold Perrineau (Romeo+Juliet, 28 Weeks Later) and Monica Bellucci (Le Pacte des Loups, Irrévirsible).
While Smith (Weaving) keeps on duplicating himself and Zion is about to be attacked by hordes of Sentinels, the one true hero, Neo Anderson (Reeves) is trapped in a subway station, a place between the Matrix and the Machine City. His only way out is by taking a special train. In the meantime the ship of Niobe (Pinkett Smith) has gone missing. Neo's friends Morpheus (Fishburne) and Trinity (Moss) are on board of the Hammer and plan to search the owners of the train: the Mervovingian and his wife Persephone (Bellucci). Can they get Neo back and save both worlds?
