Review of The Matrix Revolutions (2003) by Howard B — 28 Dec 2015
The confusing finale to the trilogy does little to ease the disappointment of the film directly before. We are served with more meaningless CGI ripping the real grit away that made the first film such a surprising sci-fi masterpiece.
The story also goes for an over-the-top pseudo religious message that falls flat in every sense. The only real way in which this film works is that it re-injects some of the characters' intrigue by how it builds to it's finale, although that is also a bit of a perplexing anti-climax.
