I really wanted to like the movie but honestly, it just wasn't good. Some of story elements were interesting but the good stuff didn't feel well executed and the bad stuff was way too prominent and ham-fisted.
The biggest sin by far is how bad the action and fight choreography was. Given how well known the franchise is for that, there's simply no excuse for it.
