Review of The Matrix Reloaded (2003) by Nisha K — 03 Jan 2012
Pretty good second installment in the trilogy...But, definitely, not as good as the first movie. The glaring weakness of this film, when compare to the first one, is essentially the script, which is not nearly as brilliant and did nothing to deepen the already rich storyline from the first movie.
It seems like the only purpose of this sequel is to showcase the more mature and powerful Neo's coming into his own as "The One". However, despite the weak script, this movie does offer the fans, not only more action scenes, but also longer ones too.
..And much like its predecessor, this film is also very stylishly shot thus providing the viewers with even more genuine eye-popping, jaw-dropping action sequences. Essentially, on a guilty pleasure level, I ranked this one higher but overall as a movie?.
...Inferior to the first one.....Aaaand for those of you who do find this whole series hard to comprehend up to this point.....You're in luck, because there is a scene near the end of this movie, where Neo encounters "The Architect", which clarify and summarize the whole conflict in a nice neat package.
However, if you still can't understand the movie after that scene....Then there's no hope for you...Forget this trilogy, try the Rambo series instead......Rating: 8/10...... 8).
