The Matrix is a masterpiece. Thought provoking and entertaining. Reloaded feels like it went from using the matrix as a metaphor towards building an actual fantasy (sci fi) world where the system more often has a literal meaning.
It is filled with confusing software jibber jabber that leads viewer from one grand action sequence to another. It's no longer a thought provoking film but rather a product of pop culture in its true form.
A real blockbuster and that is disappointing considering how impactful the first movie was with its themes and atmosphere.However, it is an entertaining badass action film.
