Review of The Matrix Reloaded (2003) by Bradley W — 05 Mar 2012
The Matrix Reloaded has lost the magic of the first film, but still manages to bring us an engaging action film that progresses with the Matrix storyline. I am a Matrix fan, just like most others out there I too love to watch these movies from time to time and I relate it to Lord of the Rings in a way, itâ(TM)s a trilogy that after you see the first you just HAVE to see the final films in the trilogy.
Now if you asked me if this was better than the first film I would tell you "hell no" but overall it progresses the storyline of the trilogy and that is all I expected it to do. I may be in the minority, but I care about these characters a lot, because they are tough, cool, and have feelings like us and I just want them to all succeed and I find that most just want to see action in the films I do not care about the essence of this interesting premise that the trilogy and this sequel has brought us.
The action is incredible once again, the battle of the freeway may be one of the coolest action sequences in the history of film and it really got me pumped up. Do not see this film expecting the masterpiece that the second one was, expect a movie that is good and keeps getting us ready for the final installation in the trilogy.
