Review of The Matador (2005) by Morgan R — 06 Jul 2008
Pierce Brosnan is very good as the decidedly unstable assassin Julian Noble, combining humour and charm with a quiet underlying menace enhanced by his often eccentric behaviour. The film is certainly not your run-of-the-mill thing and the humour is very much on the black side.
There are a few little twist along the way in this story making it well worth a watch without ever reaching great heights.
